Apparently math doesn’t suck afterall. Well... it still might, but it seems useful in places like this.

Doesnt’t it?
Yeah, just go ride yourself.

REEB Cycles – Carbon Drive SingleSpeed

Even with the big tires the bike was very lightweight. The bike did shine going down but going uphill was just as nice.

REEB BICYCLES SFP

“If you have to ask why Oskar Blues, the Longmont, Colorado, brewery, is producing a high-end steel single-speed, this is probably not the bike for you.”

Reeb Cycles move into gear

“The whole bike is handmade in Colorado.”

“This is about the love of bikes. The goal is to make the best bike possible, not to make a lot of bikes.”

Oskar Blues Brewery’s Reeb Cycles

Reeb values quality above all else—a belief that stems from their outlook on craft-beer production. Just as they hope their craft brew, Dale’s Pale Ale, embodies the feel of its native Colorado, they hope to recreate this sentiment on a bike that can handle the big, rocky terrain that the state is known for.

“Katechis rose the occasion, turning lemons into lemonade by creating his own bicycle company. (If you didn’t pick up on it yet ‘REEB’ is beer spelled backwards.)”

“First, the name. ‘The Sam’s Pants,’ certainly one of the stranger names for a bike, is an inside joke about a friend of the company.”

Grab One for the Road Six for the Trail

“…in much the same way Oskar Blues broke the mold by putting craft beer in a can, through Reeb they’re also breaking the boundaries of traditional business…”

“Reeb Cycles builds handmade bicycle frames in Colorado using 100% American made True Temper OX Platinum tubing with Paragon dropouts for lots of drivetrain options. Reeb offers three models: The SFP, a straight-up hard-tail 29er; the REEBdonkadonk, a fat bike; and The Sam’s Pants, their gravel/monstercross bike.”

Tested: REEB Cycles Gates Carbon Drive 29er

“Once on the trail, it is apparent that the REEB is a much different beast than most 29er singlespeeds on the market. Optional derailleur dropouts make the REEB perfect for a versatile one-bike quiver.”

“Oskar Blues has created a distinctive trail rig with the REEB. Trail-oriented geometry and components mated with the simplicity of a belt-driven singlespeed produce a unique ride experience that quickly became a favorite go-to rig at the office. Caked with early-season mud, the belt-drive system worked flawlessly day after day. The trail-geometry paired with the absence of gears, pivots and linkage offered the convenience of that quick lunchtime romp, without sacrificing the fun.”
